Courses

Understanding Film courses are informal, entry level, clip-led courses that allow students to enjoy learning about film in a relaxed and sociable learning environment. These discussion oriented courses are devised around 10 week long, introductory level courses, running at two hour sessions on a modular basis, whereupon each week focuses on a pre-determined area of study with some reading provisions and/or screening support.

The Hertfordshire Film Consortium programmes a collection of activities and events including: film archive projects, introduced screenings, Q & A’s with directors, academics and creatives, film studies evening courses, production workshops, festivals, lectures and curriculum-led student study days linked to GCSE/A/AS/BTEC and Undergraduate Film, English, Media, History and Art Studies.
